Insurance & Arizona Licensing

HUM Private Transportation is a Tucson-based service operated by Pathfinder Private Rides LLC. HUM Rideshare is a separate platform used for eligible trips. A booking through HUM Private Transportation does not by itself determine which insurance or regulatory arrangement applies.

INSURANCE

HUM's published Ride Assurance information says commercial auto coverage may apply to qualifying trips properly recorded and started in the HUM app. Coverage runs from the driver's route to pickup through drop-off, subject to the active policy's terms, limits and exclusions. It does not automatically extend to every ride arranged by HUM Private Transportation. Before booking, ask whether your trip will be recorded in the platform and what coverage applies. Drivers should maintain required personal auto insurance outside active platform trips and ask their own insurer how platform driving affects their policy.

ARIZONA VEHICLE-FOR-HIRE REQUIREMENTS

Arizona ADOT publishes distinct permit, insurance and compliance requirements for transportation network companies and other vehicle-for-hire businesses. Requirements depend on the applicable business arrangement and how a ride is operated. This page does not claim that one permit or insurance arrangement applies to every ride. Before booking, ask how your trip will be operated and request current proof of the applicable coverage.
